Cognac is one of leather's most honest colours — warm, rich, and only more beautiful with time. This cardholder is cut from smooth Italian vegetable tanned leather, sourced from a Tuscan tannery that is a certified member of the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium. The leather is tanned slowly using natural plant extracts, free from harmful chemicals, giving it a depth and suppleness that synthetic processes simply cannot replicate.
Each cardholder is handmade in Portugal by a small atelier specialising exclusively in leather goods. Edges are hand painted using organic paint. The gold Escuyer logo is pressed cleanly into the front face. Every piece is finished by hand and arrives in a presentation box — ready to give, or to keep.
Over months and years of daily use, the cognac tone will deepen, the leather will soften to your touch, and the surface will develop a patina entirely your own.
