Concept

What we do

Socks, small leather goods and accessories. Designed in Brussels, made in Portugal.

Colour is the point. We work in bold, well-judged palettes across everything we make, from two-tone colour block socks to hand-dyed leather in combinations you will not find elsewhere. The range stays focused and the quality stays high. No sprawl, no seasonal noise.

How we do it

Our raw materials come from Italy: cotton threads, merino wool, and vegetable tanned leather from a Tuscan tannery certified by the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.

Our socks are knitted at a family-owned factory in Portugal, on vintage knitting machines that give the fabric its density and hand. Our leather goods are made by hand in Portugal, in a small atelier that works exclusively in leather. Edges are hand painted with organic paint, the Escuyer logo is embossed in gold on the interior, and every piece arrives in a presentation box.

We visit our ateliers regularly. We care about who makes our products and how. That is not a policy. It is simply how we work.

Escuyer is designed in Brussels. Everything we make is produced in Portugal, a country with deep roots in textile and leather craft. We work with a network of specialist ateliers, each chosen for its expertise in one discipline.

We visit often, ask questions, and work closely with the people making our products. Those relationships shape what we design. When you understand what a team of makers is truly capable of, it changes what you ask of them.
